Faith's Words
Although I created Grief Painter™ I had not gone through the process myself. My first time through the journey was profound. I was grieving over a lost love. The man I was falling in love with was diagnosed with cancer and passed away a few years later. I knew in my heart that our love was not meant to be as he was the father of many - there was no time left to create something new. I was set aside so he could focus on the end of what he had already cultivated in his life. I associated him with coyote or wolf as his spirit animal. The night before I painted I imagined painting a phoenix or fire of some sort but what came was a heart that looked cosmic. The next day I turned it upside down to find coyote. One of the my favorite things about Grief Painter™ is the different images that appear later...personal messages from beyond.
