Marsha became the first Grief Painter™ to take the journey remotely. I stayed on stand by for her to help. It was exciting for me to know that some people would be able to do this process by themselves. Even more exciting was when Marsha called and asked me to train her to become a facilitator.
Marsha's Words
Grief Painter™The most impactful piece of this process was the assurance that someone (Faith) would honor my memory and hold the space with me while I was able to process through the painting process. I knew I was not alone and I felt God’s Presence with me the entire time. She was like a midwife for my Soul , I felt. I got a little tired about ½ way through, but I knew that it was part of the plan.
The prayer at the beginning is so beautiful. I spent an intentional time of prayer and reflection with the finished product. It felt like I had birthed a baby, or like a part of me was retrieved that had been dormant.
I had 2 therapy sessions the week I completed my grief painting. It allowed other memories to surface that were ready to be heard. I was thankful. I am so thankful to you both for this Healing work. I am glad to recommend and endorse this in any way I can. Thank you! Thank you!
